How to do a cellular phone number search is really easy. So easy i am only really putting this short post up for completeness as i cant stop providing information, it is in my blood! The only thing I guess i really wanted to get out is how to avoid doing a bad one because not all reverse cell phone directories are the same.

So first up you need to choose a reverse cell phone number website that can do the lookup for you. There are many around but there are two you need to watch out for:

Regular phone directories

Your yellow pages and the like do NOT have cell phone numbers. They list residential and business numbers but cell numbers are a bit different. Cell phone numbers are not freely available to be published unlike residential numbers that are public domain by law. These sites will not help you unless you have a residential number and even then the detail they give you is minimal.

So called ‘Free’ Cell phone lookup services

As i said, cell phone numbers and their details are not free. directories that hold large databases of these numbers are bullshitting you (excuse my language but they are!). They have to pay for these numbers so they need you to pay for their investment. Most will claim to be free then right at th end you will need to pay something to see more information. Either that or they take your email and your number and sell it to spammers to harass you. Stay away!

This leaves only the serious and professional sites left and how you do a cellular phone number search on these is simple. You enter it into the search box and press the search button and a moment later it will let you know if it has found the number. From there you just need to pay a tiny fee for a single search or a slightly larger one to have unlimited searches (this is what PIs get.). Once this is done all the details it has are given to0 you.
