Sarah was her name, she was a friend of a friend so when I quit I told her about using reverse phone searches herself instead of getting others to do it. So first up you need to choose a reverse cell phone number website that can do the lookup for you. There are many around but there are two you need to watch out for:

Regular phone directories

Your yellow pages and the like do NOT have cell phone numbers. They list residential and business numbers but cell numbers are a bit different. Cell phone numbers are not freely available to be published unlike residential numbers that are public domain by law. These sites will not help you unless you have a residential number and even then the detail they give you is minimal.

So called ‘Free’ Cell phone lookup services

As i said, cell phone numbers and their details are not free. directories that hold large databases of these numbers are bullshitting you (excuse my language but they are!). They have to pay for these numbers so they need you to pay for their investment. Most will claim to be free then right at th end you will need to pay something to see more information. Either that or they take your email and your number and sell it to spammers to harass you. Stay away!

• Overly Detailed Businessman: I had a guy who would call each time he got a business card to do a search on their mobile number to find out every bit of detail they could. He claimed this gave him a massive advantage when speaking to them so he could manipulate the conversation knowing their details and also jettison them if they thought they were dodgy.
• Totally Insane Guy: I had one guy call from his own cell phone asking for us to trace it. He wanted to know who was listed to make sure that he was actually who he thought he was!
